A reflection may be interpreted as taking a factor into consideration. The act of processing and absorbing information allows us to acknowledge the situation and apply it to our own perspectives. When embarking on an journey as an educator, I believe we will lack room for improvement if we are not able to reflect on our own behaviours or other aspects that surrounds us which may impact our pedagogy (Tanti, 2017). Being reflective on a frequent basis will allow myself to be able to grasps my negative and positive attributes, therefore resulting in the opportunity to either enhance or improve the quality that I possess. This will also develop my skills which will enable in becoming an open and objective educator. I imagine being open and objective comes with favourable opportunities as it has the tendency to enhance my general wellbeing hence being able reflect a positive persona. The act of reflecting will impact my life as understanding the causations of my experiences will empower me to become a better version of myself. I believe knowledge is power, and being able to act and react to situations immediately will assist my journey in many perspectives as an educator. Becoming a reflective practitioner allows my experiences to be understood in depth and will assist me to view aspects from my own perspective- in addition I will be able to to project myself positively from my experiences and from this, I will be able to view factors in a lighter more entertaining method therefore, achieving the outcome of creating an engaging and uplifting educational environment.
